Summer 2011-- playing Catch Up!

MAY
The month of may was bitter sweet. May 2 was our 4th anniversary! We celebrated by having an awesome dinner and time down by the beach of course- best time ever! May 16 Jeremy went to Detroit, MI to work on his film- OZ: The Great and Powerful. You'll be unhappy to know that it was 2 days before my birthday. Thanks Sam Raimi- I blame you. So all in all my birthDAY sucked, but the gifts I received were awesome and the facebook posts were sweet, plus some special birthday texts and phone calls were welcomely received! I made the best of it. Jeremy did buy me some freaking awesome shoes:
Happy 25th Birthday to Me!
TOMS!! SPARKLY ONES JUST LIKE THESE!!! They are my favorite pair of shoes ever! I wear them all the time with everything! And I mean everything!

May 24 one of my favorite ladys came to see me- SHARON ANNE HUBBELL! We played on the beach and yes, I got pounded by the Ocean in Laguna Beach. Do not mess with the ocean- it will win. Promise. I don't know what happened to the pictures of us- but you can bet they were super HOT! We also played with her friend Ian who lived in Santa Monica and was going to school- but he got accepted to a school in San Fran! Good luck! Durring the Sharon trip we had planned a week to go and spend in Utah so we could visit our families. I had a great time with them! and had a fantastic sushi meal with Emily Ann! It was a great week!

JUNE

June was my first trip out to Detroit to see Jeremy. It was fun but he had to work a lot and so we didn't really get to spend too much time with together. But we were hungry for lovin! So you can imagine how that went :) OH YEAH! HA! Keep it clean people, keep it clean....

At the end of June my sister's little family came out and made a first night stop in San Diego so they could take Conner to Sea World- the little guy loved Shamu! He was super excited to see me, but when he actually realized what "Corie" was, he was a little shy. Poor lil' guy didn't take to the sand to well- the whole day at Sea World his eye was all goopy and puffy from the sand getting into it (sick) but he was such a sweetheart! When they came to LA I got to spend a lot of one on one time with him so his parents could go out and have some "alone" time. We had some fun! He's an easy kid to watch and loves to Help with everything and as long as you let him, and acutally involve him he is perfectly content with you. We hit it off- I'd say we're pretty much BFFs now. Sorry no pics for this one either- they were all on my old phone.... DANG IT!

JULY
I ended up following my sisters family back to Utah to kick off July. I spent the fourth with my family and the kids were so dang cute! AND YES I HAVE PICTURES! ENJOY!
Elijah Bean

Craig spent some $ to play some games and won a Nemo

Zachy-joe and I rode the super fast roller-coaster. His head was bouncing all over! (i am the fatty one in white)

They had these crazy mo-hawks lol

Epitome of the 4th!

thirsty lil buggers!
So this was not the actual 4th of July- this is just a carnival before. The actual 4th we went to the Fireworks at Sandy city which were pretty good, and again pictures on the old phone.

After the 4th the next weekend I attended an Osborne Family Reunion. That's right I went to Jeremy's family reunion without Jeremy. I participated and was social (go me!) and I'm pretty sure I just moved into first place as the favorite in-law BOONAN! We went up to this resort at Brianhead that Carla (Jeremy's aunt) put together for all of us. It was incredible! If you ever need a place with lots of beds and has a lot of fun things to do- TONS OF SPACE!- this is the place you need! It was very nice. It did POUR most of the time but we had fun! I like to think my beading was the hit of the reunion (ha at least in the top 3 crafts- ok so there were only 3 anyways. BUT mine was unexpected and not planned- people just got interested and I don't mind sharing!) Here's a picture.. yep just one...
Peter was my best friend- we had to share a bed.
The last day of the reunion for me was a wedding for Jeremy's cousing Danny and his fiance Amanda.
The Happy Couple

Our dinner table. When Peter was done eating his dad was like "ok bed time!" He looked at him with these big blue eyes and the saddest look and said "But i wanna do the wedding..." It was so sad.... at least he had a bag of candy.
AND TO CONTINUE WITH JULY-- busy busy month, when I was driving back to LA my friend Tyler came with me! We had to stop for a night in Vegas because Emily Ann was going to fly in and finish the rest of the drive to LA with us and we were going to have a fantastic weekend! WHICH IT WAS Emily did the best blogging about it. I can't even compare because again- no pictures except a few beach ones:
Tyler on the Doogie Board (I know its a boogie board but Conner calls is Doogie!)

HOT miss Emily!

Word cannot express how much I laughed!
I loved having these two here with me. They were the perfect guests! So easy to entertain and easy to please! They were going about helping make decisions and being so gracious when my apartment was full of fruit flies upon their arrival (some air head left out a bag of fruit- CORIE ANNE and an open yogurt- CRISTIN DEE!!) They were so great and I miss them being here with me... We must plan another trip and soon!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST!!!! I decided it was time to see Jeremy again- I found a cheap flight into Chicago and spent a weekend with Steph, Ron and the kids. It was a 5 hour drive for Jeremy but he came down and saw the twins for the first time! Steph bought us some Cubs tickets and I finally got to go to Wriggley Field!! Pics? Do you have Pictures you ask? Why yes I do!

HAHA
It was a super fun trip to see this awesome family and to see their new house. Chicago is one of my most favorite cities! I will be visiting again! After Chicago we went back to Detroit- again bitter sweet, Bitter- its Detroit and Jeremy's work hours were HORRENDOUS! 12 hours + 2 was the rule. Sweet- because we got to be together and on the weekends with no work it was fantastic! My favorite weekend was when we went to Frankemurth. It's a Bevarian town with a cool outlet mall where I got this little beauty:
COACH! <3

And it also has the biggest Christmas store in the WORLD! It was like 3 football fields long! Pretty awesome!
There's my man!

I must say one of the best nights was when he got back relatively early (like 8:30/9 PM) and we were able to to see Midnight in Paris. Definitely found a top in my top 5 favorites. Best movie of the summer so far! We had an accidental private screening since it was a late monday night. It was nice. I enjoyed my trip (when he was actually there with me at least) I can't wait for him to come back to LA for a visit at least.

AUGUST
And to finally catch up here's the end.... My final stop was of course Utah. I just can't stay away too long. Emily and I planned on running a 5K. It was a Sandy Midnight Moon Run! We finished in about 36 mins! Her mom Lory joined us and it was great! We did so well and I am so proud of all three of us! I want to do it again with her! She is my inspiration!

HOT SWEATY MESS!! (acutally this was the before picture)

I was lucky enough to be coming in before the weekend of Conner and Elijah's birthday party that Saturday!

Conner Boo showing where Corie is.

Beans loved this little car... Aunt Corie may need to make an unexpected purchase....

Poor Zachy-Joe had a rough time breathing with his asthma but he was able to still de a few things- namely get all wet in the pool!

Beans loved his cake!

Conner loved his presents!

LAST BUT NOT LEAST!! The last stop was to visit the Thompsons.
Clark was still not feeling well from his Surgery so cheetos were the favorite right then. LOOKIN GOOD MARY!

George: biggest, HAPPIEST baby ever

Hazel- "Z" She is fiesty!!!

Peter! or as Jeremy calls him "Pedro"

Lucy, Henry, and Ev. TV junkies. I'm so proud!
I miss this bunch just as much as I miss my side of the family. I am so blessed to be a part of this wonderful family! They have opened their arms to me and it has been amazing!

Well folks, there ya have it. I'm all caught up. I do promise to try and do better so no more MONSTER posts are required.  LOVE YOU ALL!

My Jensen Family In LA

For Colten's spring break my parents decided to come see me in LA. Really I think they came to see the beach- I am just now an excuse for them to actually come and do it. But I guess that's ok because it turned out to be a really fun weekend and I enjoyed having them all here :)

Wed 4/20 DAY 1- No better way to start a vacation than to do it at Dodgers Stadium!
For it's root root root for the DODGERS! If they don't win its a shame! --WE DID WIN! They hit the ball like mad!

Picture of the field from our seats- not too shabby really, the camera makes it look smaller.

Mom, Colten, and Dad

Me, Jeremy, and Jeffrey Paul

Me and Jeremy. I really like this picture!

Thurs 4/21 DAY 2: Jeremy had to work so we went out and explored this place-

The street- I bet it's cool when all the lanterns are lit up at night.

This is what they did while Mom and I went in the shops- party poopers (mostly it was Dad)

Mom and Me enjoying it!

All of us together!

Fri 4/22 DAY 3: Jeremy had the day off for Good Friday/Passover. So we all hung out at the beach.
He didn't move for most of the time.

We love just sitting in our chairs

Dad and Cole playing a weird ball and paddle game- which is actually kinda hard on the sand.

It was a nice day! (although quite a bit windy)

We took them to Cha-Cha Chicken for lunch.

Mom was loving the sun. Her swimming suit is cute!

Big Teddy

His head got a little pink this day.

The waves were huge and there were tons of surfers!

Eating and Johnny Rockets on 3rd Street
Sat 4/23 DAY 4: They have these places that you can rent beach cruisers (bikes) and ride them on the bike path from Palos Verdes to the Pacific Palisades (close to Malibu)- total of 22 miles. We didn't go the whole way but it was so fun and very pretty!
Dad and Mom- only time they were in the lead.

Jeremy- I was trying to take the picture without stopping and with a basket on the front of the bike it's more difficult than you would think.

Cole riding next to me

This is what I was seeing.

Self portrait

Jeremy riding by.

Master of the path.

Cool biker chic.

Me and Cole.

Dad thought he was tricky by getting his front wheel zig-zagging between the yellow lines.

Mom bringing up the rear

This is Jeremy, and this is the place where we are going to buy a beach house some day. (not necessarily the ones you see)

Hermosa Beach Pier

Riding to Balboa Island- Colten Crashed

Enjoying some frozen bananas and Balboa Bars

We were at the Original Banana stand. For you Arrested Development lovers- you understand.

They have awesome Salt Water Taffy

Colten bought some candy. Some of it was really weird, such as- Jones Tablet?

Sun only shines on the cool kids.

Sun 4/24 DAY 5: Sacrament meeting then goodbye. They were on the road before we could even snap a picture. 10 hours on sore butts from the bikes hahaha!

It was a fun weekend and I loved having them here! I miss them all the time! I hope they had fun and want to come back soon! In two weeks my cute cousins Aubrey and Amber will come visit and we'll have some fun! Can't wait for more visitors and more time off work to play!
